If you are new to a skincare routine the first thing you need to do is establish what skin type you are and what your skin needs. Do you have oily skin, dry skin or is your skin normal? If you are not sure what your skin type is, here is a good way to work it out;
Dry skin is usually quite tight, sometimes flaky and lacks a natural sheen you get with natural oils
Oily skin will usually feel a bit greasy to touch, shiny and may have blemishes and/or spots or breakouts
Combination skin has both oily areas plus others that are normal or dry. Usually there will be a ‘T section’ (forehead and nose) that is oilier than the rest of the face
Normal skin will have a natural healthy look
Choose a daily face wash suitable for your skin type.
If you have combination skin, pay extra attention to the areas that are more greasy and perhaps use a little less moisturiser on that area.
We recommend a relaxing face mask at regular intervals too.
Establish a good daily skin care regime involving a daily face wash for your skin type and an appropriate moisturiser
